Affordable Art Fair Brussels

Written by , Posted in art

Meet the artist Edu Danesi

Hi girls! Today i’d like to talk to you about an artist I discovered a year ago in the gallery where he exposes its work, the Who’s Gallery next to « les puces » in Brussels. It was immediately a crush, his style, universe, full of colour and humor. Edu is born in Sao Paulo and is italian, living in Brussels since 20 years. Self made man as we say, his paintings are a mix of different techniques, from graffiti to stencil. I really like the presence of butterflies almost everywhere. Edu is famous of course in Belgium but sells a lot of his paintings in New York too and will be soon in China! I let you discover Edu’s work and be aware that in December, there will be a private viewing in Brussels, i’ll let you know when and where exactly ! xx

RougeGorge ♡ Grand Frisson

When I was asked by RougeGorge to take some pictures with their beautiful lingerie sets, I hesitated. Because for me, lingerie was something private, that only me and my boyfriend could see. But when I received the package and saw how beautiful it was i changed my mind. The purpose was of course not to show off and put my boobs and ass in front of your nose, the pictures had to be discrete, refined and sensual.
For me RougeGorge enhance all women’s beauty and that’s what charmed me at the first sight. The sensitivity of the materials, the lace, all the small details like a ribbon or a pearl…that’s what’s making an underwear perfect and feminine.
I’m not gonna lie to you, it was not an easy thing to do especially cause I absolutely wanted my boyfriend to take the pictures. It created some problems between us at the first time because for him, my body and my underwear are something private that nobody can see. I know he made a huge effort for me and I thank him a lot for that, and for his confidence in me, in the end. Finally, it was a nice moment we shared together and I think it created even more complicity between us. A woman’s body is beautiful, and photography is art, so that’s exactly how I lived this project. And I hope you’ll like it.
PS: see you on my instagram account (@stylingpot) for a little surprise!

DZ – PRIVATE SALE

Written by , Posted in art, Creators, events

Hello girls! How are u ?  Today I’m showing you the pictures of a private sale I went to last Saturday. Daniele Zaif is the ex-owner of the incredible restaurant Pudding Rock in Brussels, that closed last June after years of great success and amazing food. Now, she’s organizing private sales at her own loft, where you can find a lot of different items, all home made. From the marmelades, to the necklaces, the customized fur coats, the baby clothes and the delicious teas and meringues, it’s impossible not to find something to make you happy or to offer. An important thing to know is that you can also directly contact her and come see what she’s doing at her place, if you’re interested by anything or want to buy something but you can’t come to the private sale.

I HIGHLY advice you to go to the next sale that will take place on Sunday, 17th of November. If you need any information, send me an email at sacha@stylingpot or like Daniele’s facebook page to see all the pictures and get informed of all the news.

AND, last but not least: Daniele will decorate and sell a lot of her creations at Lady Guilmot, this shop I already talked to you a lot about, from the 9th to the 23rd of December!

Last friday, I had the chance to go to the Brussels Fashion days to discover the belgian young creators and to see the fashion show organized by the Elle magazine.
It was a beautiful evening, I saw amazing pictures by belgian photographer exposed, and the fashionshow was really beautiful.

Before the show, we walked around the Egg, this huge space which was hosting the event. I admired the pictures, especially the work of Maelle Andre full of colors and imagination, Marc Deman and Celine Dejoie

In the room juste before entering the show, there were a lot of young belgian creators creations that were exposed, as well as bags and jewelries. Special mention to Lilu! I felt in love with their clutches and bags. I also spotted Orane-Enora zebra booties, and Niyona leather bags. I loved Charlotte Ransonnet‘s work, Annelies shorts and espadrilles, Samantha Ladine amazing « space prints » jacket, Diane Van Overeem printed pants, Giuzeppe Spezial, Akin To__, .. there were so much  beautiful clothes, I was really impressed and inspired.

After a little wait, we finally entered in the room where the Fashionshow would happen. We waited for a while before it started, there was A LOT of people, it was totally crowded. After something like 30minutes, the show finally started and I directly felt the amazing energy and emotion that a fashionshow can offer. Honestly, it was my first time but I really hope not the last.
The show started with Calogero Di Natale: simplicty, elegance, feminity, delicacy.

Then,  Filles à Papa : colours, craziness, sexyness, rabbit ears, sparkles, glitter, sequins AND awesome music. I particularly loved the pink and black perfecto and the long sequined skirt.

Thirdly, Marc Philippe Coudeyre : classy and powerful, I really liked the prints of the two black&white coats.

After came Krjst : amazing prints, very wild, ethnic, full of colours. I loved the handbands and the swimsuits.

5th, Superpieceofchic: young, energetic, and streetart inspired, special mention to King Kong 😉

Then came a.KNACKFUSS, one of my favourite: jungle prints,  awesome pieces, perfect cuts, full of creativity, I loved it.

In the 7th place I discovred Damien Ravn, I was very impressed by the perfection of his work, and had a crush on the black dress.

Finally, to close the show, Natan, no need to introduce 😉 I’d say its more classical and sophisticated, but very fresh and classy.

If I have to summarize, I’ll say that I really love and enjoyed the show, it was amazing, breathtaking, really. I was impressed and amazed by all the talents we have in Belgium and very proud. So BIG UP BRUSSELS FASHION TALENTS 😉
